Common questions
Where does the data come from?
Public FCC databases (ASR and ULS), the FAA Digital Obstacle File and FAA study records, and U.S. Census county boundaries. A weekly job rebuilds it, and the app downloads the areas you look at.
Why is a license not on the map?
Area-wide licenses (PCS, AWS, 700 MHz and others) have no transmitter location. Long-press the map to see which ones cover a spot.
Is the data accurate?
It is as filed with the FCC and FAA and can be out of date. Always confirm in the field. Spectrum Scout is not affiliated with the FCC or FAA.
How do I restore my purchase?
Settings → Restore purchase, or the Restore Purchase button on the unlock screen.
How do I free up space?
Settings → Delete downloaded data.
